Article:
The newest version of the Toyota celica is the most radical looking celica
to date. Looking more like a jet plane then a car it’s easy to imagine
what a celica could look like highly modified. The new celica’s high
revving engine and six-speed transmission make it a fun to drive sports
car. It’s hard to imagine that this engine will be used in the Lotus
Elise coming here soon.
Since it’s release the new celica has a variety of parts available from
the dealer and those hard to get parts from Japan. Clint’s celica may
look like just your ordinary show car celica but it’s not. Many of the
parts he decided on are rare in America. The exhaust system from Trial
Tuning Spirit is a prototype version, never being released for sale in
Japan. Wow now that’s impressive. His C-One parts are from a handful
imported to us Yankee’s. Other parts are hard to get unless you get them
from the Munky’s. When I saw his headers I was fooled, they look like
aftermarket but really are polished stock ones. And yes everyone loves
HIDs…. Clint like all of his fellow Munky’s chose Defi BF gauges as well,
and their placement is truly custom and genius. Nice Nice Nice
Clint in my opinion has really set the bar for those other would be celica
tuners here. His car seems complete to me although I’m sure the parts
will keep coming…. could there be boost in the near future, I’d like to
know. Thank you to Clint Orimoto and once again Munky Wurks Garage.

Some of the parts on this car are very rare or unique. The TRIAL Tuning
Spirit full titanium exhaust is a prototype based off of TRIAL's
(http://www.trial.co.jp) circuit race car in Japan. This is one of 3
unreleased-to-the-public prototypes being tested for TRIAL Japan in
preparation for the later versionIII public release that will feature
secondary resontors as well as more sound dampening. Version II was too
loud for off-track use in Japan and USA. 2 other prototypes are being
tested on Celicas in the mainland that are also test running TRIAL's U.S.
tuned version of the Blitz Compressor (supercharger) for the Celica GT-S.
The C-ONE Motorsport aero kit and carbon hood featured on this car are one
of less than 5 that have been imported to North America direct from Japan.
Same for the C-ONE rear tri-bar. Headlights, bumper lights, door sills,
emblems, cluster are all impossible to find locally or on the net and not
readily available aside from direct import from Japan. Some are
discontinued parts that are no longer attainable. Most of these parts can
be sourced through us.
