Location: Pearl City Gallery Page Home Page Article: The Chevy Avalanche is an identical twin to its luxury counterpart, the Cadillac Escalade EXT which cost $10,000 more. Both of these two trucks are identical from underneath the hood, to the metal sheet body that sets them apart. The Avalanche comes with either a Vortec 5300 V8 engine, or the more powerful Vortec 8100 V8 to haul ass when needed. The Avalanche’s 8100 V8 makes more torque than the EXT’s Vortec 6000, meaning, this Chevy sure can kick its luxury counterpart’s ass. Saving himself a little more than $10,000, it’s obvious that Henry put that money to good use. For one thing, when you step inside this pimp mobile, you’ll notice that it has way more of a luxury feel compared to the Escalade. Why is that? You’ll notice that the seats and the door panels have little “G”’s everywhere which could only mean one thing: GUCCI. Henry still had money left, so he had crocodile skin inserted in the seats along with the Gucci material. He had still more bling bling left, so just to add more to the craziness, he added 22” VCT rims with a lip that can fit 3 quarters. To add more to this crazy customized luxury automobile, he added a 42” Plasma TV in the truck bed, which would be great for tailgating this Super Bowl. Henry gave me the opportunity to sit, turn on, and move his truck, since this was his very first photoshoot. The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the TV screen in the steering wheel! As for turning on the ignition, his truck scared the hell out of me. Imagine (2) 15” Kick L7’s, (4) 6.5” Alpine Type R Components on full blast as soon as you turn that key. Now this is what a stock Escalade should come in.
